The Fortunes at Nijmegen
| 23 September
2006 After a good and very warm start at The Beatnight in Horst Limburg,
where The Fortunes met their long time friend and organiser Jan Droesen
and former Dutch fanclub manager Annie and of course the other hardcore
fans Wim, Bertus, Marlies, Herman, Wilhelmien and Harm, the group went
on to
Nijmegen for the second gig that night. Again, as in Horst, a fabulous
crowd, dancing and singing along with all their songs. Besides all the
well known songs The Fortunes also played the Paul Carrick song, Eyes Of
Blue from the CD Heroes never die and from Some Bridges and Timeless,
Please Remember Me. Because of the dancing crowds the band also played
their very catchy Rock & Roll medleys. After the gig some long time
Badfinger and Fortunes fans met with Bob and the others guys to take
some snapshots. The band will be back in The Netherlands in about a
month.
